Nikhil Chauhan, Chief Strategy Officer, Lummus Digital and Amitabha Sinha, Vice President – Analytics, TCG Digital recently shared their deep industry insights at the Technical Session of the event, Demystifying Industry 4.0, organized by the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (Calcutta Regional Centre), Indian Institute of Metals (Kolkata Chapter), and Jadavpur University on November 27, 2021.

The Curtain Raiser event of a year-long program in holding webinars and seminars on Industry 4.0 was conducted on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee celebration of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and Indian Institute of Metals with Jadavpur University as program partner.

Mr. Sinha revealed rich insights of the present state of the Industry 4.0 by highlighting the Survey of Industrial Manufacturing Stakeholders. In the survey, he detailed about the Industry 4.0 Ecosystem, which showcased a connected factory in action. He went on to provide an overview of the customer solutions ecosystem, technology ecosystem, operations ecosystem, and the people ecosystem as well. Further, he shared a blueprint for the industrial manufacturers to become digital champions and focussed on the Internet of Things in Manufacturing, where he threw light on the Online Plant Information System.

Mr. Chauhan, on the other hand, expounded the Digital Twin technology for the Oil and Gas Sector. The project design and operations of the Digital Twin were elaborated showcasing its end-to-end AI Platform, tcg mcube. Further, different applications of the Digital Twin like Remote Monitoring, Hybrid Real-Time Optimizer (RTO), Operations Performance Prediction, and Asset Performance Prediction were expanded revealing how tcg mcube made it all seamlessly possible. Additionally, an integrated model of the Operations Digital Twin was explained with a detailing of the benefits offered.
