Ujjal Mukherjee is the Executive Director of Lummus Digital. He also serves as Chief Technology Officer of Lummus Technology. He leads Lummus’ energy transition and digitalization initiatives while continuing his leadership role in oil to chemicals projects.
Prior to these roles, Ujjal served as Vice President Technology for CLG and under his direction, CLG became a world leader in distillates and residue hydrocracking, delayed coking and the production of lube oil base stocks. In a career spanning nearly forty years in the refining and petrochemicals industry Ujjal has conceived of and commercialized many processes that have transformed the conversion of heavy oils including most of the world’s largest operating hydrocrackers, integrated residue and distillate hydrocracking, the LC-MAX process, and multiple processes in biofuels and shale oil upgrading. He is currently leading the crude the chemicals effort including the cutting edge TC2C process. He has 45 issued US patents in refining, petrochemicals biofuels and shale oil upgrading. Ujjal has been with Lummus since 1990 first working in petrochemicals and then as one of the founding members of CLG. Ujjal has worked on projects in over 50 countries and mentored many engineers who have gone on to senior leadership positions themselves. Ujjal’s contributions were recognized and he was named a Fellow of Lummus Technology in 2020.
Ujjal has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, India, a Master of Science in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from ENSPM, France and an MBA from Rutgers University.
Snehal Patel serves as the Board Member of Lummus Digital, adeptly integrating visionary leadership with extensive global experience within the Oil & Gas Industry in both the Downstream Business as well as in Information Technology. As a Board Member and Strategic Advisor for Digitalization in the Oil & Gas sector, he assumes a pivotal role in guiding the industry towards innovative and transformative solutions.
Possessing a robust business background, Snehal is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful results across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. His expertise lies in Petroleum and Chemicals business processes, demonstrating a remarkable ability to navigate the intricate intersection between business strategy and IT Transformation & Delivery.
Snehal’s professional journey includes a noteworthy tenure at Shell which has solidified his standing as a key player in the industry’s digital evolution. His commitment to excellence is underscored by his role as a strategic advisor, shaping the landscape of Digitalization in the Oil & Gas sector.
A Chemical Engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur and doctorate from Kansas State University, Snehal combines a robust academic background with extensive industry experience, positioning him as a leader, driving technological innovation and strategic growth in the Oil & Gas sector.
Amitabha currently is the Joint Managing Director at Lummus Digital.
Amitabha has over 25 years of experience in technology and strategic consulting. Both on the technology as well as the digital strategy side, he has run transformation projects with Fortune 100 companies in geographies like US, Canada, UK, and Singapore. Amitabha started his career with IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center and has 11 International Patents, 5 of them with IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. Thereafter, he worked for consulting majors like PwC (UK) and EY (US) and has run large BFSI ODCs based out of Singapore and Hong Kong.
Amitabha is a First Class First President’s Gold Medal Winner from IIT Delhi, has a MS from Carnegie Mellon and a PGP from IIM Bangalore.
Prakash Ramdoss is the Joint Managing Director of Lummus Digital. With over 28 years of experience in the design and operation of plants using advanced simulation and digital tools, Prakash leads Lummus Digital’s initiatives to develop digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the energy and petrochemical sectors.
He has developed and implemented several innovative digital solutions to help clients optimize their plant operations and achieve operational excellence.
Prakash holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. He has presented at numerous international conferences and has authored articles in various industrial journals. He is also a member of Technical Advisory Boards in the field of Process Simulation.
Chancelor Williams serves as Chief Operating Officer for Lummus Digital, responsible for managing operations for the organization and joint venture between Lummus Technology and TCG-Digital.
He previously served as Director of Technology for Lummus’ E-Gas process technology from 2008 to 2020. With more than 25 years of experience, Chancelor has served roles with increasing responsibility in operations and production, capital projects, process engineering, R&D and provided business development technical support within the refining and petrochemical industry. He has led design, commissioning and startup activities for multi-billion dollar projects in South Korea, India, China and the US.
Chancelor received a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and completed an MBA at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University.
