Nimit Arora, Director-Middle East, Lummus Digital elucidates AI and Digital Twin’s role in Operational Excellence and Decarbonization of Ethylene Plant at TNChe 2022
Houston, June 10, 2022:
Nimit Arora , Director-Middle East, Lummus Digital recently shared engaging insights on the topic of “Operational Excellence and Decarbonization in Ethylene Plant using AI and Digital Twin” at the 1st Thailand National Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology (TNChe) 2022, held from 7-10 June 2022 , in Pattaya, Thailand.
The highlight of the TNChe 2022 was the “Decarbonization of Chemical Industry“ conference, which aimed at discussing and promoting Decarbonization technology, research, development and innovation, and technological collaboration among chemical industry, technology providers, researchers and industrial participants from Thai and international entities.
The Oil & Gas industry is adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) at a rapid rate to reach their goal of Net Zero Emissions by reducing carbon emissions.
Mr. Nimit Arora in his speech threw light on how AI and operations Digital Twin can be used to enhance operational excellence and reduce carbon emissions from ethylene plants in the process. The operations Digital Twin is a 2D/3D visual of the ethylene plant replicating the actual plant behaviour in near real-time. This is needed for accurate monitoring, optimization, and prediction of the plant’s performance. Applications such as remote performance monitoring, real-time optimization and operations and asset performance prediction are all built on an integrated and scalable end-to-end AI platform called tcg mcube.
