Mr. Nikhil Chauhan, spoke about Lummus Digital and its state-of the art AI platform, tcg mcube, which is the enabler of Digital Twin and other digital solutions. He showcased tcg mcube by providing an inside-view of its 5 blocks, i.e., Data Ingestion, Data Exploration, Data Storage, AI/ML and Analytics Algorithms and Frameworks, and lastly, Visualization and Insight.

It was followed by a sharp presentation of the Digital Twin and its value for the downstream plants. Explaining for both its project and operating phases, a walkthrough of its design, build, and operation phases revealed the Digital twin as a virtual replica of the actual physical plant. That, it is a true version of reality in terms of data, information, and visualization. It possesses static data for the project Digital Twin phase, which results in 3D and 5D environment. Additionally, it also hosts dynamic data, which is needed for operating and maintenance purposes. In a nutshell, the Digital Twin was positioned as the Single Source of Truth.

Further, an insight into the integrated and modular approach to the Digital Twin was presented detailing the process plants and different systems, which are mapped upto the equipment levels. Emphasis was laid on the workspaces of individual systems, which showcase near real-time actionable insights pertaining to the physical plant operations through respective KPIs, 2D/3D visual views, ‘what-if analysis, and more, needed for necessary alerts. Next, it was followed by a mention of the impeccable process synchronization for the different monitoring, optimizing, and predictive solutions.
